Jesse Hockett gets the
biggest win of his career at
the famed Budwieser Oval
Nationals at Perris Motor
Speedway in California!!!
Wednesday Jesse
Hockett was down with the
flu and stayed in his hotel most of the day. Thursday, still under the weather, Jesse finished 15th in the B Main. Friday, Duke and Scott McMillen Motorsports entry showed their strength as Hockett battled for the lead eventually finishing 4th. Hockett and the McMillens would have their work cut out for them starting mid pack in the B main. Jesse transfered with a 7th. Starting 19th in the feature, it would seem imposible to finish on the podium but not for Jesse Hockett. With each lap Jesse passed cars and with each red they made adjustments. On lap 38 restart, Hockett threw a slide job on race leader Jerry Coons Jr. to take the lead. Hockett's ability to communicate setup and his never-quit attitude are only second to his desire to win. Watch for Jesse on the cover of December's Flat Out Magazine with a feature article by Gary Costa inside. Hockett drove for Duke and Scott McMillen in their MCMillen Motorsports #2 Maxim / S&D Race Engines. The McMillens have partnered with Hansen Machine, JF McCray, LRB Manufacturing, Kaeding Performance, and ART Enterprise. Jesse Hockett drives the VKCC Motorsports, LRB Manufacturing, Indy Race Parts, HRP Wings, Parker Stores of Phoenix, Massey Truck Repair, Rod End Supply, Hoosier Tires, DMI, Simpson, Lucas Oil, Penske Shocks, Red Onion Lounge, Fischer Body Shop, Pro Powder Coating.
